On this occasion, our client is an international mining company are currently looking for an experienced site based contract Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, located in West Africa. This position report’s to the Processing Maintenance Superintendent. Main responsibilities are to provide technical training for the national tradesmen and Supervise Mechanical maintenance of Fixed Plant Equipment (as designated), while ensuring health, safety, environmental, community relations and quality workmanship standards are maintained. Ensure adherence to statutory requirements as a minimum standard.
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
7 years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance in a gold process plant
Previous supervisory experience in mechanical maintenance in a gold process plant
Current First Aid Certificate (essential)
Current Drivers License (essential)
Mechanical Trade Qualification (essential)
Training certificate IV or equivalent (preferred)
Pronto experience (preferred)
Experience in developing countries or other countries with similar austere and demanding environments (not essential but highly advantageous)
Ability to speak French or Wolof (advantageous)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential)
Fluent in reading and writing in English (essential)
Experience in planning, analytical and problem solving skills (essential)
Experience and willingness to train, mentor, lead and mentor others (essential)
Involved in team building, recruitment, coaching and counselling (essential)
